Thinking of tasty recipes with rice bran can be challenging, but its enrichment of iron and other vital nutrients cant stop you to reconsider. Here is a truely wholesome and an easy rice bran recipe for your morning breakfast to kickstart your day.

RICE BRAN PANCAKES

This is the one classical recipe I recollect from my granny’s collection. From our own paddy fields, enjoying the organically grown perly grains, this recipe had had become one of the commonly prepared morning breakfast.

“Bran is the outermost layer of the grain which consists of aleurone layer. Aleurone layer is rich in vit B which is another captivating reason to include bran in your diet. Rice bran has the highest source of iron among all the cereals and their by products.”

Ingrediets Required

Rice, rice bran, green gram, sesame seeds, black gram, chickpea, oil, salt,

Method of Preparation

Take a large shallow bowl and soak all the cereals and pulses in equal portions. Add sesame seeds to it and let the mixture sit for overnight. After soaking for 8–10 hours, drain the water and grind the the mixture to a thick batter. You can use fresh water to maintain the consistancy of the batter while grinding. Finally add rice bran and salt to taste and mix well with a spatula. Now the batter is ready to prepare the pancakes. Place the pan on medium flame. Once the pan is hot, grease it with a drop of oil. Take small amounts of batter and spread it evenly on the pan. Flip the pancake whenever needed & cook it well till they turn golden brown. Thats it, your nutritous pancakes are all set to serve and savour.
